In recent few months, entertainment on the website increased in unbelievable speed.
People started "web party", hashtags with "#stayhome" or in Japanese "おうち時間" and showed how they spend at home.
Instagram used to be the social media to upload beautiful places or foods eaten outside but this hashtags changed the contents to upload.
They brag how nice their cooking skills are, or reading books and show how smart they are, or it was the way to appeal "I'M REALLY STAING INSIDE" etc...
In Japan, spring (April) is the start of new year, new grade and everything.
(Most of the transfer in company happens in April.)
For this year, COVID-19 was just hitting Tokyo and we had no way to welcome new people.
No eat out (of course no party held!!), no way to meet face to face but only on web.
This changed the way people meet each other.
We've created "web party" which allowed to drink with people all over the world. (well, world is maybe too much because of the time lag but in Japan, yes.)
I used to go out drinking only with people from Tokyo or near Tokyo but now, I drink with my colleagues from all the way to Kagoshima, Osaka and everywhere.
That's amazing and I now have no excuse to say
"because I can't meet people, I can't get information."
YES, YOU CAN.
Everyone's images or concern of doing web party got way lower than before.
That is such a great point.
I can now easily ask for web talking and get GEMBA voice.
