２４日、番組などを通じて視聴者から寄せられた
第１回「フジネットワーク・サザエさん募金」約１４００万円を
日本ユニセフ協会へ贈呈した。

大阪府警によると、詐欺、窃盗容疑で逮捕された容疑者（48歳）は
1992年1月、勤務先の不動産会社の社長の自宅と駐車場にあった乗用車から
約束手形３通（額面計1,500万円）と預金通帳１冊を盗み
銀行で2,450万円を引き出した疑いで
本人も、犯行を認めている。
事件直後、名古屋からフィリピンに出国
フィリピンで逃亡生活を送っていたが
旅券を申請するため現地の日本大使館を訪れて不法滞在が発覚。
昨年12月、フィリピン当局に身柄を拘束された。
22日、日本に向かう機内で大阪府警に逮捕された。
窃盗、詐欺罪の時効は７年だが
海外にいたため時効は成立していない。

当局によると２０万人以上が避難している。
昨年１１月にフィリピンは大型台風に襲われ
６１００人以上が死亡した。
今回の熱帯低気圧「アガトン」で避難している人の中には
昨年の台風で住居を失った人も多くいる。
フィリピン中央の東部にあるサマール島では
緊急避難所が破壊され
昨年の台風「ハイエン」の被害者が再度避難を余儀なくされた。
当局によると、これまでに４２人が死亡し、６５人が負傷している。
また、２１日時点で、数百人が自宅の屋根に避難し、救助を待っているという。
不動産や農業などへの損害は３億６７００万ペソ（８１３万ドル）に達している。
