大阪府警によると、詐欺、窃盗容疑で逮捕された容疑者（48歳）は
1992年1月、勤務先の不動産会社の社長の自宅と駐車場にあった乗用車から
約束手形３通（額面計1,500万円）と預金通帳１冊を盗み
銀行で2,450万円を引き出した疑いで
本人も、犯行を認めている。
事件直後、名古屋からフィリピンに出国
フィリピンで逃亡生活を送っていたが
旅券を申請するため現地の日本大使館を訪れて不法滞在が発覚。
昨年12月、フィリピン当局に身柄を拘束された。
22日、日本に向かう機内で大阪府警に逮捕された。
窃盗、詐欺罪の時効は７年だが
海外にいたため時効は成立していない。
