5月24日、フィリピン最大のコスプレイベントが開かれ
日本のアニメ衣装に身を包んだコスプレイヤー数百人が参加した。
入場料は無料だが
参加者はノートやボールペンなどの学用品を持参しなければならない。
持ち込まれた学用品は
首都圏やその近郊州にある公立の学校に寄付されるという。

日本人１人が胸を強く打って死亡した。
残り９人も負傷し、病院で手当てを受けている。

オスロブ町沖でジンベイザメ見物をする予定だったという。
