桐生市の小６自殺について

いじめを受けていた桐生市立新里東小６年、上村明子さん（１２）の自殺を巡り
学校側の対応が後手に回った実態が徐々に明らかになってきた。
１０月２３日。明子さんがカーテンレールにマフラーをかけて首をつったこの日
フィリピン出身の母（４１）は１本の電話をかけた。
相手は、明子さんをいじめていたとされる複数の児童の一人。
受話器に出た相手に、たどたどしい日本語で明子さんが自殺したことを知らせた。
母によると、児童は母親と一緒に訪れ釈明した。
「自分じゃない。他の児童がいじめていた」と話したという。
桐生市教委によると、学級崩壊の兆候は１学期後半から見られるようになった。
他クラスなどから応援の教諭を一部授業に投入するなどの対応をとった。
しかし、１０月に入ると「指導が効かなくなった」（学校関係者）。
対応にもがき続ける中、明子さんは命を絶った。
桐生市教委の委員長の記者会見を見ていて
「いじめ」と「自殺」に因果関係はないと言ったときの
他人事のような責任感のない発言
「教育者以前に、人間の感情があるのか」という
怒りが腹の底からこみ上げてくる。

遺骨収集事業
９日、フィリピンのアキノ大統領は
日本で開かれるアジア太平洋経済協力会議（ＡＰＥＣ）を前に
