中国系２世の父親のもと、１９６０年、横浜市生まれ中華街で育つ。
２００１年、フィリピン映画「トータル合気道」で初主演。
歌手としても活動し、フィリピンではゴールドディスクも出している。
フィリピンでは、貧困と病気に苦しむ子どもたちに援助を続けおり
医療と食事を提供する活動で
２００７年、地元の州から名誉市民称号を贈られた。
今年６月には学費を免除する幼稚園も開設した。

人口抑制法案
民間調査機関「パルスアジア」の最新の調査で
フィリピン下院で審議中の人口抑制法案に関する
世論調査（10月20～29日実施、18歳以上の１２００人対象）結果は
人口抑制法案を「支持する」との回答が69％に上った。
これまでに各民間調査機関が行った同様の調査では、最高の支持率だった。
フィリピンカトリック教会がこの法案に強く反対する中
８割以上をカトリック教徒が占める国民の世論と
教会の主張に隔たりがある実態が浮き彫りとなった。
