日本全国のフィリピン人組織に対して
犠牲者の報告および援助要請がある場合には申し出るように伝えたと発表した。
被害が最も大きかったとされる宮城県にはフィリピン人が1,309人滞在しているという。

外務省は１２日、東日本大震災を受け
午前８時現在で計５０カ国・地域から支援の申し出があると発表した。
韓国からの救助隊が午後に羽田空港に到着。
救助隊はオーストラリア、ニュージーランド、シンガポールからも順次
成田空港などに到着する。
１２日午前０時以降に新たに支援を申し出た国は
キルギス、マレーシア、アルゼンチン、フィリピン
カナダ、イタリア、スウェーデン、コソボ
アイスランド、ノルウェー、ルーマニア、スロベニアなどです。

太平洋津波警報センターによると
日本時間の11日午後10時7分、ハワイのマウイ島に
2メートル50センチを超える津波が到達しました。
ハワイ島でも1 メートルほどの津波が観測されています。
今のところ、被害の報告は入ってきていません。
津波はこの後、日本時間の12日朝には
オレゴン州やカリフォルニア州にも到達すると予測されています。
一方、フィリピン政府当局によると
日本時間の11日午後7時ごろ、フィリピンの沿岸に津波が到達し
40センチから60センチ海面が隆起しているのが観測されました。
すでに4度の津波が到達したということです。
