フィリピン首都圏マニラ市の中央銀行本部で
7月15日午後、男性職員(51)が19階部分から地面に転落、死亡した。
ガンの治療を続けていたことから
病気を苦に飛び降り自殺を図った可能性がある。
首都圏警察によると、同本部では過去に少なくとも５人が飛び降り自殺しており
「身投げの名所」になりつつあるという。

ダバオ慰霊

第４７回ダバオ慰霊と交流団、約６６人が
7月17日、フィリピンのミンダナオ島ダバオ市に向け、那覇空港を出発した。

墓参団は台湾経由で現地入りし
ダバオ市内にある「沖縄の塔」などで法要慰霊追悼式を行い
５泊６日の日程で、タモガン避難地「平和友好記念碑・納骨堂」
ドブガン墓地などを回り、戦没者を追悼する。

墓参団は戦前フィリピンに移住し
第２次世界大戦で家族や親類を亡くした遺族らで構成され
遺族の高齢化に伴い参加人数は減少し、今年は過去最少となった。
