レプトスピラ感染症

フィリピン　マニラのサンラザロ病院は、1577年に設立され
現在は、フィリピンにおける国立感染症専門病院として知られる病院です。
この、病院の発表によると
7月1日～11日の間にレプトスピラ感染症で入院した患者37人のうち
6人が死亡したと発表したという。
フィリピン保健省によると
1月1日～6月25日までに報告された感染者は前年比65.4％増だという。

レプトスピラ感染症とは、ネズミなどの野生動物を自然宿主として
ヒトだけでなくイヌ、ウシ、ブタなどほとんどの哺乳類に感染する。
腎臓尿細管などで増殖し、排泄物を経由して汚染された水や土壌から
経口・経皮的に感染する。
