急速に人工島建設を進める中国への抗議デモが行われた。

国家間における問題解決には「国際法による支配」が重要だと強調。
抗議を無視して人工島建設を進める中国を暗に批判した。

強盗傷害事件
6月10日早朝、フィリピン ビサヤ地方セブ市内の
日本人男性宅で強盗傷害事件が発生。
65歳の男性は東京都出身の退職者。
頭部や首などにボロ（長刀）を切り付けられ重傷を負った。
犯人はフィリピン人とみられる男女で逃走中だという。

入国管理局の留置所に16年間拘束されていた
日本人男性（47）の強制送還を執行したという。
男性は不法滞在により1999年に拘束されてまもなく
強制送還されることになっていたが
フィリピン国内4ヶ所の裁判所で小切手の不渡りによる
裁判が行われていたために強制送還が延期されていたという。
