日本では実現不可能な過激な爆破シーンやカーアクションなどの撮影のため
フィリピン・マニラに飛び、過酷な約1か月間に及ぶ海外ロケを敢行。
11月7日（土）より全国東宝系にて公開される。
国際協力機構（ＪＩＣＡ）が世界各国に派遣する
青年海外協力隊を創設して50周年を迎え、
これを記念する映画「クロスロード」（主演 ＥＸＩＬＥ 黒木啓司）
フィリピンなどを舞台に制作されている。
フィリピン派遣の協力隊員３人が直面する葛藤や新たな出会いをテーマに
「支援のかたち」を問い掛けた作品で
11月28日から日本の35の映画館で上映される。

教団の内輪揉めに干渉したとしてデリマ法務相と
フィリピン政府に「政教分離原則」を訴え
各地で発生していたデモでは幹線道路EDSAの一部を封鎖するなど
大渋滞を引き起こしていた。
全国デモを展開していた件について
「イグレシア・ニ・クリスト」は
フィリピン政府との合意に達し（合意の内容は明らかにしていない。）
デモを終えると伝えた。
