緊急融資
世界銀行（本部・ワシントン）は
1自然災害発生時に迅速な緊急支援を行うための融資枠を
フィリピンにも適用すると発表した。
融資の上限額は５億ドル。
自然災害が発生し、非常事態宣言が発令された場合
即時に融資を受けることができる。
支援要請から承認、実際の拠出までに時間がかかる
二国間援助や原資が限られる
国家予算からの拠出の欠点を補うのが目的だという。

セックスはしませんと宣言し、平和を取り戻したという。
夫たちに「セックス・ストライキ」を宣言したのは
ミンダナオ島のダド村の女性たちで
フィリピン南部では土地やお金、政治的な問題などをめぐって
部族や一族間の反目が絶えず、銃の撃ち合いなどの争いがよく起きている。
発端はダオ村で女性グループが縫製会社を立ち上げたこと。
しかし、村の道の近くで特によく争いが起きるために通行止めとなり
製品の配達ができなかったことから
グループの女性たちがまず夫に対して
争いを続けるならセックスはしませんと‘通告’した。
７月に始まった「セックス・ストライキ」のおかげで
今では同村の１０２の家族は平穏に暮らしているという。
