台風２１号
フィリピンの東沖の太平洋上で発生した台風２１号は
１６～１７日、フィリピン南部のミンダナオ島を横断しスルー海に抜けた。
フィリピン災害対策当局によると
ミンダナオ島では、鉄砲水や土砂崩れ、洪水などが相次ぎ
少なくとも４６人が死亡した。
災害対策当局によると
激しい雨で地盤が軟弱になっているとして
引き続き厳重な警戒を呼び掛けた。今後も犠牲者が増える恐れがあるという。

真夜中のミサ
12月16日から、クリスマスイブの朝まで
9日間にわたって真夜中のミサ「シンバンガビ」（Simbang Gabi）が始まった。
教会のミサに通って来年1年の自分や家族の健康と幸せを祈る。

背中に銃弾3発を受けたと現地警察当局が発表した。
副市長は、パサイ市の病院に緊急搬送され、手術を受けているという。
