鉄砲水による洪水が原因で多くの犠牲者が出たことについて
ミンダナオ島には早期洪水警報装置が
設置されていないことを明らかにした。
早期洪水警報装置には1基あたり
3億ペソ相当の予算が必要だという。

埼玉県入間市南峯、会社員、山口和浩さん（６４）方が全焼した火事で
狭山署は２０日、現住建造物等放火容疑で
山口さんの長女で
フィリピン国籍のヤマグチ・イベッティ・クリスティン・ラオ容疑者（２６）
（日本名・山口愛美）を逮捕した。
狭山署によると
ヤマグチ容疑者は１９日午後０時４０分ごろ
自宅に灯油をまいて火をつけた疑いが持たれている。
ヤマグチ容疑者は
「自殺しようと思ったが、怖くなって自分で通報した」と
供述しているという。
