アジア日本相互交流センター
フィリピンの子どもたちの教育向上を支援している
名古屋市中区大須のＮＰＯ法人アジア日本相互交流センター
（通称・アイキャン、田口京子代表理事）が
ミンダナオ島リージョン地区教育省（ジェネラルサントス市）から表彰を受けた。
このセンターは、フィリピンの子どもたちを貧困や紛争
差別などから守ろうと１９９４年に設立されたもので
マニラ市やミンダナオ島に現地事務所を設け
学校建設や学用品を贈る支援活動のほか
学校給食の提供なども行っている。
また、今月フィリピンに上陸した台風の被害者救済のため
センターでは医師と看護師ら計６人を派遣するとともに
毛布１０００枚を贈った。
