フィリピンのアキノ大統領がこのほど
「違法薬物に関連する罪」で服役囚のイギリス人男性の恩赦を発表した。
男性は、手続きが完了し次第
直ちに英国へ帰国するように命じられるという。
フィリピンへの入国は今後認められない。
アキノ大統領はまた、フィリピン人の服役囚4人の恩赦も命じたという。
フィリピンへの外国人入国者は
１月～12月20日、前年同期比3.7％増の358万１千人でした。

逮捕
フィリピン南部ミンダナオ島北コタバト州で
今年１０月に起きたイタリア人のテントリオ神父（当時５９）射殺事件で
フィリピン国家捜査局は
実行犯の疑いがあるとして殺人容疑で
地元の男を逮捕したことを明らかにした。
共犯容疑で男の兄の行方を追っている。
フィリピン国家捜査局によると
男は、神父が地元の水力発電所計画に
反対する運動の中心的な存在だったため犯行に及んだと話しており
国家捜査局は
兄弟に犯行を指示した者がいたとみて全容解明を進めるという。
神父は１０月１７日
地元の教会を出て車に乗り込もうとしたところを射殺された。
所属する教団によると
神父は少数民族や環境の保護運動に力を注いでいたという。

バッテリー泥棒
フィリピン国家警察は
27日、ルソン地方ブラカン州サンホセデルモンテ町で
携帯電話中継施設からバッテリーなどを盗んだ疑いで、男性２人を逮捕した。
住民組織が２人を見つけ、通報した。
逮捕時、バッテリー８個（総額約８万ペソ）を隠し持っていたという。
