合同軍事演習
日本の防衛省は
２月４日、アメリカとフィリピン両軍による
定期合同軍事演習「バリカタン」で行われる演習に
自衛隊幹部を参加させる方針を固めた。
自衛隊の参加は初めてで、今回は災害対応訓練にとどまるが
多国間の訓練に参加することで
南シナ海での海洋権益の拡大を図る中国を牽制する狙いがあるという。
「バリカタン」は、２０００年以降
アメリカ・フィリピン両軍が毎年実施している演習で
今年は、３月末から４月に行われる。
演習は、中国を念頭に置いた内容で
石油や天然ガスの施設が攻撃された事態に対し
アメリカ・フィリピン両軍の海兵隊が作戦を展開する。
（日本は、実動演習には参加しない。）
フィリピンにおける不朽の自由作戦
（ Operation Enduring Freedom - Phillippines、OEF-P）は
対テロ戦争作戦の一環として行なわれており
フィリピンミンダナオ島と周辺海域での不朽の自由作戦のこと。
アメリカ軍は、ミンダナオ島におけるイスラム勢力と対決する
フィリピン軍を訓練や助言などの方法で援助している。

５歳の息子を携帯電話欲しさに１万ペソで
売ったとして助けを求めた。
別居した後、男性は女性との間の子供３人のうち２人を養育していたが
１人は女性が引き取っていたという。

初フライトは、2012年3月28日に
フィリピンのクラークより飛び立つ。
現在のところ、ダバオ空港とカリボ空港に就航する予定です。
