4月19日午後に、ラプラプ市内の空き地で
珊瑚を梱包していた女性2人を逮捕したと伝えた。
ボホール島から送られてきた珊瑚を
1日80ペソで梱包する作業を担っていたという。
フィリピンでは、珊瑚を取ったり、輸出は違法です。

コメの廃棄を減らすキャンペーンを実施している。
「ＩＲＲＩ」（International Rice Research Institute）によると
フィリピン人１人が１日に消費するコメは平均５カップで
うち９グラムが食べ残しとして捨てられているという。
年間ではコメ輸入量の36％に相当する
約30万トンが捨てられている計算になる。
