マカティ市デブロン通りの住居で拘束したと伝えた。
調べによると、男は韓国人観光客に
7万5,000ペソ(142,000円）で女性を斡旋していたという。

海上保安の強化
日本政府は、フィリピン、マレーシア、ベトナムの３カ国を対象に
巡視船供与などを通じ海上保安機能の強化策を支援する方針を固めた。
南シナ海におけるテロ・海賊対策への協力が目的だが
３カ国はいずれも南沙（英語名・スプラトリー）諸島をめぐって
中国と領有権を争っており
この海域で覇権主義的な行動を強める中国への包囲網を構築する狙いもある。
日本政府は、今回の支援策を
「戦略的ＯＤＡ（政府開発援助）」の一環と位置付けており
フィリピンには、巡視船や通信システム
マレーシアには暗闇でも微光をとらえて視界を確保する
「暗視装置（ＮＶＧ）」を搭載する船艇を供与する。
フィリピンには、５月中旬以降に
国際協力機構（ＪＩＣＡ）の調査チームを派遣。
フィリピン政府の正式要請を受けて最終調整し
供与の枠組みは調達費の返済が必要な円借款の方向で調整。
フィリピン政府が無償資金協力を希望すれば
４０億～５０億円の範囲内で行うという。
