日本で育った保科知彦さんが
フィリピン代表として男子柔道１００キロ超級に出場したが
１回戦で、金成民（韓国）選手に敗れた。
静岡県富士市で生まれ
柔道家の父の影響で１２歳から競技に取り組み
現在は、横浜国立大の大学院に在籍するとともに
群馬の高校で保健体育の教員をしている。
「生徒たちには、応援してくれたので申し訳ない」と語った。

12月には、フィリピンに行く予定ですが
妻のパスポートも、もうすぐ切れるので
時間を見つけて、大阪のフィリピン領事館まで行かなければなりません。
それと、エイリアンカードの切り替えもやっておかないと
これを済ましておくと
「一時帰国」の申請をしなくても良いということで助かります。
