今年の映画は、ミュージカルで開けて、

ミュージカルで〆ました。

（ちなみに今年の舞台は、パントで開けてパントで〆ました。）

La La Land は、素人っぽいのが良いと書きましたが、

この映画は、バリバリの玄人。

全てが、パーフェクト。

La La Land は、シーンごとにワン・ショットで撮っていますが、

こちらは、カットごとに何度も撮影したんだろうなーーと、

映像テクニック満載。

そういう今どきの映像がお好みでない方には、向きません。

ヒュー・ジャックマンは、

元々地元オーストラリアでは、舞台でミュージカルを演じていたそう。

歌って踊って、その上ウルヴァリンですから、

向かうところ敵なし。

凄過ぎっ！

今回は、社交ダンスも軽々とクリア。

お相手のミシェル・ウイリアムズっていう女優さんは、ダンサーなのでしょうか？

ジャックマン氏は、凄いんだろうなーとは、思っていましたが、

それより楽しみだったのが、ザック・エフロン。

期待にたがわず、活き活きと歌って踊ってくれました。

High School Musicalを卒業して以来、方向性に困っていたようで、

数々のコメディに出演していますが、

やっぱりこの人は、歌って踊ってが似合う。

ジャックマンより露出度は格段に低いですが、

最後は、ジャックマンから仕事を受け渡されて、

本当に嬉しそうに表舞台へ立ちました。

歌もダンスも、当然ジャックマンより上手いです。

ゼンデイヤとのダンスは、ジャックマンさんには無理だったでしょうね。

ヒュー・ジャックマン ファンはもとより、

ザック・エフロンの復活を待ち望んでいたファン必見の映画です。

を足して、2.5で割った感じ。

特に、シングが良く似てる。

これら、全部私のお気に入り。

（ところで、シングは、アニメと馬鹿にすることなかれ、凄く良い映画です。コアラの動きと、ゴリラの歌に注目。あー、、、吹替ちゃってるのか。。。観てびっくりの人が歌っているんだけど。是非、字幕でどうぞ。）

オフィシャルサイトでストーリーが書いてあるので、遠慮なく書きますが、

バーナムが連れて回るオペラ歌手の、オペラ歌手ならぬ風貌、

ポップ・シンガーのような歌いっぷり（曲がポップなんだよね）が鼻につく以外は、

素晴らしい映画です。

ストーリーもびっくりや悲しいがなく（結構ありきたりということでもある）、

レイティングも驚きのPG （ペアレンタル・ガイダンス）。

家族全員で楽しめます。

The Greatest Showman

Year 2017, my adventure of films opened with musical and closed with musical.

(My adventure of theatres opened with Panto and closed with Panto, BTW)

I wrote that Dance in La La Land was not brilliantly good, but that was rather good to me.

But, this film all dancers are professional, everything was perfect.

La La Land, they shot all of those musical sequences in one shot,

On the other hand this film, I can imagine they shot cut by cut with cutting edge filming technique, not whole sequence, and then edited the best bits.

If you don’t like the film like Sherlock Holmes, this film is not yours.

Hugh Jackman used to play musical in the theatre in his home country Australia.

He can sing, dance and moreover is Wolverine.

There is no man beyond him. He is truly greatest.

This time he performed social dance effortlessly.

I wonder his partner Michelle Williams is a professional dancer.

I had no doubt Mr. Jackman was the greatest,

But I was more looking forward to seeing Zac Efron. 

He did not disappoint my expectations. He looked very happy to sing and dance. 

And I was very happy to see him singing and dancing.

After graduated from ”High School Musical”, he seemed not to know what to do and tried several comedy films but none of them were very successful.

He is surely singer and dancer and musical is his thing after all.

He tried not stealing the spotlight nor standing before Jackman,

At the ending he got handed over the Cane from Jackman and went into the front stage excitedly.

Needless to say, Zac is better dancer and singer than Jackman.

Jackman wouldn’t be able to fulfil the dance with Zendaya.

It is must-see-film, not only for Hugh Jackman fan but those who being waiting for the revival of Zac Efron.

Storyline is like

( The Elephant Man + The Prestige +  Sing )  ÷ 2.5

Especially Sing’s storyline is similar.

All those films above are my favourites.

(BTW, you shouldn’t despise SING. It is very good film. Koala’s motion and Gorilla’s singing are brilliant!)

The only thing averted me was the opera singer.

I wasn’t very impressed by her non opera singer like looks and her singing like a pop star (because song was pop, not opera) .

Apart from that, it was brilliant film.

There were no twist or sadness in story (in another word, it’s very familiar story).

Film rating is surprised “PG”.

It’s a family film I highly recomended.
