"わざわざ~~"の英語は?
よく使われる日本語なんですが英語で表現するときに生徒さんたちは"わざわざって....何だっけ"ってよく困ってる🤭
① go out of one's way
👆努力して(特に他の人のため)何をする
Inconvenience oneself or take extra trouble to do something beyond what is required.
👆自分に不便を掛けてあるいは余分な手間を取って期待された以上のことをする
例文
She often goes out of her way to help people in need.
彼女はよくわざわざ困る人を助けてあげる。
You don't need to go out of your way to do that..
わざわざする必要がないよ。
They went out of their way to pick me up.
彼らはわざわざ私を迎えてくれた。
You need to thank Monica—she really went out of her way to get you this job interview.
Monicaに感謝するべきです。彼女はわざわざこの面接を用意してくれた。
② take the trouble
👆わざわざ［労を惜しまずに］～する。
go out of one's wayと言い換えれる。
例文
He took the trouble to help me.
彼はわざわざ手伝ってくれた。
Oh, you didn't have to take the trouble to prepare the guest bedroom for me—I could have just slept on the couch!
わざわざ来客用の寝室を用意しなくても良い、私はソファーでも寝れるよ。
③ all the way
（遠路）はるばる→わざわざ
例文
Thank you for coming all the way.
わざわざ遠くまで来てくれてありがとう!
