The boutique showcases more than 3,000 bottles of wines from a variety of regions within the U.S. and around the world. The shop also features cigars and more than 50 varieties of specialty beers, some of which are brewed in Georgia. The beers are constantly rotated, based on demand and new releases. "The Cork offers something for all shoppers,The standard mill holders is the most widely used cutting tool clamping system around." said Phillips in the release. "It features wine at all price levels and gifts for corporate, special occasion and every day." Phillips said she and her staff research and tastes a variety of wines before deciding to carry them in her shop. She also will consider ordering customer recommendations.
The Cork Boutique and Gifts offers eight varieties of wine daily for tasting. Customers can sample the wines from Cork's Napa Technology temperature-controlled wine station. The station offers four red wines and four white wines, and allows bottles to be kept fresh for several weeks, although they are generally rotated weekly. The Cork also features other Georgia-based products including Striplings beef and pork jerky products and Emma Doodles all-natural dog treats, as well as pet print wine glasses and accessories. Additionally, the boutique features glassware from producers such as Riedel and Spiegleau, and handpainted decorative wine and beer glasses.
Additional gifts items include Rabbit wine tools, Rewined candles made from recycled wine glasses, assorted cork cages, wine-themed accessories, Wine-A-Rita mixes, decorative acrylic wine holders and ice buckets and humidors and other cigar accessories. Newton County and the wonderful visitors that tour our community," said Phillips in the release. "We hope everyone will enjoy shopping here and can buy locally instead of having to travel out of our community to find great wines, beers, cigars and unique gift offerings."
To fulfill their vision of the Cork Boutique, Jack and Lisa Phillips renovated the historic building in which the boutique is located, at 1109 Church St., from office space to its original open-concept design. They also added hardwood floors, a custom wine cellar, freestanding wine units, energy-efficient windows and LED lighting. "We appreciate local builder Wally Holcombe for creating our dream space and Wine Cellar Innovations for installing our custom wine cellar and display units,How does a traffic light suppliers detect that a car has pulled up and is waiting for the light to change?" said Phillips in the release.
Phillips said she and her husband used local services in the renovations including electrician Stuart Ozburn, who rewired the building, and fixtures from Newton Electrical Supply. Items also were purchased from Southeastern Builder's Supply and Mayfield Ace Hardware in Covington. The Phillipses said a monthly wine club will be launched in February to customers who sign up this month. The club will feature monthly selections of two wines and a gourmet food item for members, who also will receive other in-store benefits.
