本日は、エチオピア大使館の協力を得て、エチオピアの歴史と文化に深く触れる機会を持ちました。最初に、エチオピア料理は、リトルエチオピアレストラン＆バーの店主であるエフレムさんによるインジェラの仕込みから始まりました。そして、東京大学ワールドグルメツアーチームの皆さんがエチオピア料理で多くのインジェラを焼いた経験を共有し、エチオピア料理の主食であるインジェラをハチの巣のように穴だらけに焼く技術を伝授してくれました。本日のインジェラは、エチオピア大使館からの評価で100点を獲得するほどの出来栄えでした。お子様方の頑張りと東京大学ワールドグルメツアーチームとＯＨＡＯチームの最高傑作でした。また、フリートークも楽しく、試験期間以外にまたコラボできることを楽しみにしています。
今回の野菜は、明治安田生命健康保険組合の社内バザーの売り上げから提供され、エチオピア料理のために高価な食材を豊富に用意することができました。これにより、クリスマスを華やかに演出できました。特に、健康開発室の室長である石井康明さんと有田さんが子どもたちと実際に関わって参加してくださり、明治安田生命健康保険組合様の支援に感謝の意を表します。また、NPO法人こども学習支援基金（ロータリークラブ）の協力により、炊飯器2台、IH用ステンレス鍋、食器を購入できました。石井宏さん、冨倉進さん、ありがとうございました。また、助成金を勧めてくださった東京芝ロータリークラブの金井由光さんにも心より感謝申し上げます。
JefriQRadioのPOPさんの協力とサポートのお陰で、会場は笑い声に包まれました。
エチオピアアートクラブの山本純子さんからは、エチオピアのコーヒー伝説「カルディとヤギの物語」が紹介され、エチオピアのコーヒーについて学びたいという気持ちが芽生えました。
エチオピア大使館のアフラム三等書記官には、エチオピアの歴史と文化について詳細に説明していただき、深い感謝の意を表します。アフラムさん、エイリーンさん、エチオピアの歴史は深く、自然に囲まれたエチオピアの美しさ、文化の多様性、人々とハイエナの自然な共存、様々な文化の違いを学び、エチオピア旅行をいつか計画したいと思いました。
ニューヨーク国連本部に設置された世界絶対平和万歳の鐘に中川千代治さんの思いが込められていること、そしてその思いが今も受け継がれていることに感銘を受けました。レプリカの鐘の音が国連本部と同じであり、世界中に響き渡り、平和を祈る鐘の音が広がることを心から願っています。高瀬聖子様、ありがとうございました。またこれからも色々学ばせていただけましたら幸いに思います。
最後に、モカ・エチオピアダンスグループの皆さんのダンスワークショップが行われ、体を健康的にほぐすエクササイズでした。
今回はパルシステムからのお米の提供があり、また社会福祉協議会からのフードバンクも会場の皆様へクリスマスをお届けすることができました。

Today, with the cooperation of the Embassy of Ethiopia, we had the opportunity to delve deeply into the history and culture of Ethiopia. Our journey began with Ethiopian cuisine, starting with the preparation of injera by Mr. Ephrem, the owner of Little Ethiopia Restaurant & Bar (https://little-ethiopia.net/). The Tokyo University World Gourmet Tour team shared their experience of baking numerous injeras for Ethiopian cuisine, teaching us the technique of making this traditional Ethiopian flatbread with its characteristic honeycomb-like pattern of holes. The injera we made today was so well-received that it earned a perfect score of 100 points from the Ethiopian Embassy. We look forward to collaborating again in the future, outside of exam periods, and engaging in more enjoyable discussions.
The vegetables for our dishes today were generously provided through the proceeds of the Meiji Yasuda Life Health Insurance Association's internal bazaar. This support allowed us to include a rich variety of ingredients in our dishes and make our Christmas celebration truly vibrant. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Yasuaki Ishii and Ms. Arita, who joined us at the venue, for their direct involvement and for the opportunity to convey the charm of Meiji Yasuda Life Health Insurance Association's support.
Thanks to the cooperation of the NPO Children's Learning Support Fund (Rotary Club), we were able to purchase two rice cookers, stainless steel pots for IH cooking, and tableware. We express our gratitude to Mr. Hiroshi Ishii and Mr. Susumu Tomikura for their contributions. We also extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Yasumitsu Kanai of the Tokyo Shiba Rotary Club for recommending the grant.
The presence and support of POP from JefriQ Radio filled the venue with laughter.
We were introduced to the legend of Ethiopian coffee, "The Story of Kaldi and the Goats," by Ms. Junko Yamamoto of the Ethiopia Art Club, which sparked our interest in learning more about Ethiopian coffee.
Mr. Ephrem Awul Seid and Ms. Eileen Selibe Biyaduglin, Third Secretaries at the Embassy of Ethiopia, provided us with detailed explanations of Ethiopian history and culture. We are deeply grateful to them for their insights. We were amazed by the depth of Ethiopia's history, the beauty of its natural surroundings, the diversity of its culture, the natural coexistence of people and hyenas, and the cultural differences, such as women's annual trips.
We were deeply moved by the story of Chiyoji Nakagawa's thoughts behind the "Bell of World Peace and Goodwill" installed at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, and how those thoughts continue to be passed down. The sound of the replica bell is the same as that of the United Nations Headquarters, and we sincerely hope that the sound of the bell, a symbol of peace, will resonate throughout the world.
Finally, we participated in a dance workshop led by the Moka Ethiopia Dance Group, which served as a healthy exercise for our bodies.
We received rice from Pal System, and with the support of the Social Welfare Council, we were able to deliver Christmas to everyone at the venue through the Food Bank.
We extend our gratitude to Shibaura House for providing us with a venue for seven months, starting from May. Shibaura has been OHAO's activity base, and we deeply appreciate their support. Moving forward, our activities will continue at the Shinbashi Sakura no En (Tea House) operated by the Social Welfare Corporation Nagaoka Welfare Association. We look forward to meeting everyone in this new environment.
