Sake day and "Niigata Sake no Jin"

【“Sake Day” and Niigata "Sake no Jin 2024"】

Today, the 1st of October is " Sake Day”.
There are three reasons why this day is called 'Sake Day'.

① It is the Sake brewing season.

② The sake industry has its own calendar called BY (Brewing Year),

which originally ran from Oct to Sep (currently from July to June).

So 1st Oct is new year's day

③ The Japanese months are assigned a character called the twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac: October is 酉, which means sake pot or sake.

On Sake Day, let's make Kampai ! with even more love.

Now, let me share the information for sake enthusiasts.
One of the world's largest sake events, Niigata "Sake no Jin 2024" , will be held on 9th (Sat) and 10th (Sun) of March 2024 at Niigata Toki Messe !!
