Nosalin’s blog 3 March

<Ise city
I went to Ise Jingu Shrine for the first time in a while. A lot of people came to
Oharai-machi and Okage-yokocho near the shrine. There were long lines at all
three stores of the famous “Akafuku Mochi”. There were a lot of groups that
seemed to be having university graduation trips.

<Strawberry picking
We went to a strawberry farm on the way back from Ise Jingu Shrine. This
place was the best I had ever been to. First of all, the variety called Akihime
was very sweet. And it was reasonable that the admission fee was 1900 yen,
with all-you-can-eat, but without time limit.

Between the houses there was a small park where children could play, and if
they got hungry after playing here, they could eat strawberries again.

After eating 40 pieces, my husband and I took time off with radio exercise and
we ate 10 more pieces again.

<Sagicho Festival
In Omihachiman City, where my eldest daughter lives, there is the Sagicho Festival, the biggest festival, and I went to see it. Neighborhood associations make floats and compete to see which one is the best, and burn them on
Sunday night in front of Himure Shrine.                                                                                                                                                                                                            This year, my eldest daughter participated a little in making the floats. This float won the second prize.

<Large Kite
On the day after the festival, I stopped by Higashiomi City and visited the "Big Kite Museum".

The "Baramon Kite", which became famous in the morning NHK drama series,

and a 100-tatami-sized large kite was also on display.

Then we went strawberry picking again and they were delicious
and I ate 60 of them.

<Kumagawa-juku

Finally, I was able to go to Kumagawa-juku in Fukui Prefecture. After my retirement, I became a big fan of walking through old towns all over Japan that still retain their traditional street corners.

I think it's because I often go to Mino, Gujo Hachiman, Takayama, and Furukawa in Gifu Prefecture.

<Lake Yogo

I went to a lodge with a view of Lake Yogo, which was built by university schoolmates 2 years younger than me. He came to my lodge twice. He gets along well with the locals and does a lot of volunteer work.

We were able to stop by the Metasequoia trees, a famous tourist spot in
Makino.

Lake Biwa was so foggy that I could not even see 10 meters ahead, and it was
mysterious. The next day, sky was clear and we could see the opposite bank.

<Takayama
When I go to Hirugano Highland, I always want to stop by Hida Takayama. I like the famous old streets, but there are many nice places in the suburbs.

Now there are a lot of foreign tourists, so I want to talk to them in English. However, this time, it was a pity that the timing did not match and I was not able to talk with any of them.

From the north side, my second house looks like this. ↓

<Sota
Sota goes to a nearby park to play on rainy days and windy days.
He enjoys running through puddles.

It seems that the number of his vocabulary has increased, and word he ofen utters is "No!". He loves slides, but the other day my daughter took her eyes off him and he fell off the slide, leaving a scar on the left side of his face.

See you next month.
