・帰国生選抜第１回： ２０２４年１２月３日（火）
・帰国生定員： １０名
・試験科目： 国語（４０分 ５０点満点）、算数（３０分 ５０点満点）、英語面接試験（個人 １５分 ５０点満点）、日本語面接試験（個人 １０分程度）
※英語資格検定CEFR A2（英検準２級）以上の証明書を提出、２０２２年度４月以降、小学４年生以降に取得したもの
※英検優遇措置あり、CEFR B1以上（英検２級）で５点加点
・帰国生選抜第２回： ２０２５年２月１日（土）の午前
・帰国生定員： １０名程度
・試験科目： 国算（各５０分 各１００点満点）、日本語面接試験（個人 １０分程度）
※２０２４年度帰国子女枠入試の出題傾向、合否基準と同じ
・帰国生選抜第１回： ２０２４年１２月３日（火）
・帰国生定員： １０名
・試験科目： 国語（４０分 ５０点満点）、算数（３０分 ５０点満点）、英語面接試験（個人 １５分 ５０点満点）、日本語面接試験（個人 １０分程度）

１、「国語」、「算数」の点数を見て、どちらも一定の点数を超えた生徒を選抜する。
２、１．で選抜された生徒について、「英語」の点数を見て、合否を決定する。

国語と算数は足切り点として活用し、最終的な合否判定は英語面接試験の点数で決めるという、２段階選抜ですね。

An Olympic Blog
After many fantastic weeks, the London Olympics and Paralympics have finally come to an end and I did my best to attend every single event, but only the best and most exciting ones remained in my memory, and here are some of them.
Watching the Olympics gives you a window into different sports that you wouldn’t usually see on TV. Before the Paralympics, I didn’t even know that goalball was a sport, but now it’s definitely at the top of my watchlist, together with wheelchair tennis. I never thought a judo match would be one of the most exciting events of my life and that I would spill all of my snacks while cheering for the Japanese team.
Who would’ve thought that 50,000 volunteers and more than 5 years of planning would help create such an amazing atmosphere. It definitely helped change the image of London, because everyone was so kind and friendly. It was a great opportunity to make new friends, I know some people say that the Beijing Games had better organization, but this one was definitely one of my favorites. （183 words）

サンプル問題を見ると出題傾向が分かるので、対策ができますよね。
そこで、青山学院横浜英和中学の帰国生選抜第１回の英語面接対策について、お伝えします。
まず、大問１の「大問１、短い文章の音読・質問」の対策についてです。
大問１では、渡された英語の文章を音読した後に、文章に関して２つ質問をされます。
英検準2級の二次試験（面接試験）のQuestion No,1とほぼ同じ形式です。
サンプル問題の英語の文章を確認してみましょう。
・語彙： 英検準２級～2級レベル
・ワード数： 183 words
・内容： ロンドンオリンピック観戦を通して気付いたこと（エッセイ）
このレベルの英語の文章を使って対策をすれば、バッチリですよね。
たとえば、『American Pie Slice of Life Essays on America and Japan』が対策に役立ちますよ。
・American Pie Slice of Life Essays on America and Japan 著Kay Hetherly
このエッセイで使われている英単語は英検準２～２級レベルで、日本のアメリカの違いや日本での生活を通して得られた気づきについて述べられています。
全部で２０のエッセイが収められて、各エッセイは600 wordsぐらいになります。
ですから、最初から内容的に切りのいいところまでを、およそ180 wordsぐらいになるようにして区切って対策に使うと良いですよ。
第1話の“Love It or Leave It”は、このぐらいで区切ると良いです。
ちなみに、著者のKay Hetherlyさんとは、以前、『NHKラジオ英会話』で大杉先生と一緒に出演されていたケイ先生のことです。
ケイ先生のエッセイは、アメリカの帰国生にとって参考になりますよ。
次に、大問２の「大問２、あるトピックについてのスピーチ」の対策についてです。
大問２では、与えられたテーマに対して、自分は賛成か反対かを決めます。
その際、２つ以上の理由を使って説明する必要があります。
考える時間は1分間です。
この形式は、山脇学園中学のWeb入試とほぼ同じです。

テーマも山脇学園中学のWeb入試とそっくりですよね！
ですから、山脇のWeb入試の過去問題を使って対策をすると良いですよ。
ただし、山脇のWeb入試は1分間のスピーチであるのに対して、青山学院横浜英和の帰国子女枠入試の大問２のスピーチは２～3分になります。
１分のスピーチでもなかなか大変なのに、その倍以上の時間もスピーチをすることになります。
スピーチ練習をバッチリ行ってくださいね。
