地球の未来を共に創るための授業実践：国際理解教育・開発教育指導者研修会の講師＠JICA地球ひろば公開セミナー| Teaching Practices for Co-creating the Future of the Earth: Speaker at JICA Global Plaza Open Seminar on International Understanding Education and Development Education Leadership Training.
2024年2月4日、「JICA地球ひろば」の国際会議場で行われた「国際理解教育・開発教育指導者研修」公開セミナー「〜地球の未来を共に創るための授業実践〜」。私（にしゃんた）は、「地球の未来を共に創るための共笑な発想」をテーマに講演をさせていただきました。
対面とオンラインのハイブリッドで開催された今回のイベントには、全国から大勢の方がお集まりでした。国際協力や開発教育をご専門にされている小・中・高の先生など教育者の方が中心でしたが、民間企業の関係者など含めた一般の参加者も多くおられました。
皆さまのお陰で、非常に和やかな雰囲気の中で質疑応答も含めた約90分お話をさせていただきました。言わずもがな皆さんは問題意識が高く、私にとっても非常に刺激的でありがたい時間となりました。講演は、国際理解教育や開発教育の視点も踏まえて、これからの日本、そして地球をより良いものにしていくためのどのような考え方が必要なのかという内容となりました。
講演終了後に、今回の2023年度JICA地球ひろば「国際理解教育/開発教育指導者研修」にご参加された先生によって、小・中・高等学校の教育現場の最前線でどのように生徒・児童に向き合い、どのような思いで国際理解や開発教育の視点を意識した授業をつくり、どんな授業を実践しているかについての報告など行われました。
大変嬉しいことに、講演をお聴きくださった方々から内容について高評価をいただいたと主催者側から教えていただきました。励みになります。ありがとうございます。

On February 4, 2024, the “International Understanding Education/Development Education Leadership Training” open seminar, titled “Practical Classroom Approaches for Creating a Future Together on Earth,” was held at the international conference hall of “JICA Global Plaza.” I, Nishantha, delivered a lecture with the theme “Shared Laughter as a Creative Approach for the Future of the Earth.”
The event, conducted in a hybrid format with both in-person and online participation, drew a large audience from across the country. While educators specializing in international cooperation and development education, including teachers from primary, middle, and high schools, formed the core participants, there was also significant attendance from individuals in private enterprises.
Thanks to everyone, I had the opportunity to speak for approximately 90 minutes in a very friendly atmosphere, including a lively Q&A session. Participants demonstrated a heightened awareness of pertinent issues, providing me with a stimulating and appreciative experience. The lecture, considering perspectives from international understanding education and development education, focused on the necessary mindset for shaping a better future for Japan and the Earth.
After the lecture, participants from the 2023 JICA Global Plaza “International Understanding Education/Development Education Leadership Training” shared their experiences. They reported on how they engage with students at the forefront of primary, middle, and high school education, detailing the conscious inclusion of perspectives on international understanding and development education in their teaching practices.
I am delighted to share that the organizers informed me that the content of the lecture received high praise from those who attended. This encouragement is truly appreciated, and I express my sincere gratitude.
While it has been a while since my last involvement with JICA-related work, I am grateful for the opportunity to connect with such a wonderful community.
