先日、とある自治体教育庁が主催する今年度の「育児サロン」で、育児・子育て・ライフワークバランスの講演会の講師としてお話をさせていただく機会に恵まれました。
「仕事と育児の“ちょうどいい”を考える」をテーマに掲げ、イベントはオンラインで開催されました。
現在は子育てに奮闘中で、これから子育てを始める方や職場復帰を控えている方々が多数参加し、お話しする時間や交流する機会があり、充実かつほのぼのとしたひとときとなりました。
私の講演の部分は、客観的なデータや個人的な経験、専門領域の知識などを組み合わせた内容となりました。
振り返れば、我が家も子育ての初期は時間が経つのが早く、何も分からない状態でてんやわんやでした。多くの方々の協力を得ながら育児していた日々を思い出します。
子供たちが大きくなった今、あの時代が懐かしく感じられます。現在も育児に奮闘しているお母さんやお父さんに、心からの敬意と労いを送りたいと思います。
「チルドレンファースト・マザーファースト」、子供を産み・子育てしやすい社会は、みんなが幸せを噛み締めて生きられる良い社会の証でもあります。みんなで意識的にそんな社会を目指していきましょう。

Lecture Speaker on Parenting, Child-Rearing, and Life-Work Balance: “Contemplating the Optimal Balance between Work and Child Rearing”
I recently had the opportunity to speak as a lecturer at this year’s “Childcare Salon” organized by a certain local educational authority. The event featured lectures on parenting, child-rearing, and life-work balance, with the theme of “Contemplating the Optimal Balance between Work and Child Rearing,” and it was conducted online. Currently navigating the challenges of parenting, many individuals planning to start parenting or preparing to return to the workplace participated, creating a fulfilling and heartwarming experience with opportunities for dialogue and exchange.
My lecture incorporated a blend of objective data, personal experiences, and knowledge from my specialized field.
Looking back, the early stages of parenting in my own family were a time of rapid passage, marked by a sense of uncertainty and chaos. I recall those days of parenting with the support of many individuals. Now that my children have grown, I nostalgically appreciate that period. I extend my sincere respect and appreciation to mothers and fathers currently dedicated to the journey of parenthood.
“Children First, Mother First”: a society that facilitates childbirth and child-rearing is evidence of a good society where everyone can savor happiness. Let’s collectively strive towards such a conscious and positive societal goal.
