水戸献血連合会が設立50周年を迎え、12月17日に記念式典が水戸市民会館にて開催されました。老若男女、幅広い層の多くの方がお集まりの盛大な式典となりました。
当日のプログラムも盛りだくさんでした。プログラムも前半と後半に分かれて、前半では、今までの活動献血推進活動の振り返りがあり、功労者の方への表彰式や子どもたちを対象にした献血スローガンコンクールの表彰式がありました。
さらには、大成女子高等学校吹奏楽部や水戸葵陵高等学校書道部書道部の学生によるパフォーマンスなどもあり、華やかな場面もありました。会場の一角には、「遊んで学ぶ～キッズ献血＆クイズラリー～」や「献血PRのぼりデザインコンクール」の作品など展示も。
後半には「献血に関する講演会」も開催され、私（にしゃんた）は 「たかが献血、されど献血〜命を繋ぐヒーローたち〜」というテーマでお話をさせて頂きました。
私自身が、学生などと共に長くにわたり取り組んでいる献血推進活動について、そしてなぜ取り組むようになったか、まさにテーマにもあるように「たかが献血、されど献血」、その奥にある深いメッセージなどについてお話をさせて頂きました。
会場の皆様のおかげで約1時間の講演時間もあっという間に感じました。このたびは、貴重なご縁をいただいたこと心より感謝いたします。
最後になりますが、私〔にしゃんた〕が出来ることとして、学生など若者を巻き込んだ献血推進活動の継続はもちろん、献血推進の大切さを全国のどこにでも出向き、講演会の場などでお話・伝えていきたいと願っております。どうぞ事務所の方に気軽にお声がけください。
As the Mito Blood Donation Federation celebrates its 50th anniversary, a commemorative ceremony took place on December 17th at the Mito Civic Hall. It was a grand event that attracted a diverse audience of people of all ages.
The day’s program was rich and varied. Split into two parts, the first half included a reflection on past blood donation promotion activities, an award ceremony for contributors, and the presentation of awards for a blood donation slogan contest aimed at children.
Furthermore, there were performances by the Okanari Girls’ High School Brass Band and the Mito Aoi-Ryo High School Calligraphy Club, adding a touch of elegance to the proceedings. The venue also featured exhibits such as “Play and Learn – Kids Blood Donation & Quiz Rally” and “Blood Donation PR Banner Design Contest.”
In the second half, a “Blood Donation Lecture” was held, and I (Nishanta) had the privilege of speaking on the theme “Beyond a Simple Act: Blood Donation – Connecting Lives of Unsung Heroes.”
I shared insights into my longstanding involvement in blood donation promotion activities alongside students and others. Exploring the profound message behind “Beyond a Simple Act: Blood Donation – Connecting Lives of Unsung Heroes,” I discussed why I became involved in this cause.
Thanks to the audience’s warm reception, the approximately one-hour lecture time flew by. I am sincerely grateful for the precious connection we forged on this occasion.
In conclusion, as Nishanta, I am committed to continuing blood donation promotion activities involving students and young people. I aspire to travel nationwide, emphasizing the importance of blood donation promotion through speaking engagements and other platforms.
