［人権講演会の講師・人権週間・人権デー］人権ミニフェスタ・みんなで「じんけん」について考えてみよう ＠ さくら市 [Human Rights Lecture, Speaker, Human Rights Week, Human Rights Day] Human Rights Mini Festa: Let’s Think About “Jinken” Together@ Sakura City
「みんなで「じんけん」について考えてみよう」と題した「人権ミニフェスタ」が、栃木県さくら市にて、2023年12月9日に開催されました。さくら市 宇都宮と日光人権啓発活動地域ネットワーク協議会が主催で、さくら市氏家公民館ホールが会場となりました。
会場の入り口には、さくら市内の小学校6年生と中学2年生による人権標語、さらにはさくら市立保育園満５歳児が描いた可愛らしい絵などが、展示されていました。コロナによって延期されたこともあり、久しぶりに対面での人権の集いとなったお伺いいたしました。
当日、私（にしゃんた）は、「違いを楽しみ、力にかえる」をテーマに基調講演をさせていただきました。お話をしやすい会場の雰囲気の中で私にとってはあっという間の90分となりました。ありがとうございます。 講演終了後には主催者側の皆さまと記念写真を撮り、主催に関わられた地域の人権擁護委員協議会の皆さまともお話をさせていただく有難いご縁に恵まれました。
後日、講演をお聞きくださった方々からのご感想もお聞きかせいただきました。
「楽しく大事なことを学びました。」、「自分の生き方が間違ってい な い と 確 言 し ま し た 。」「楽しく大事なことを学ぶことが出来た。」、「分かりやすく柔らかい雰囲気で、堅苦しくなりがちな内容を平易に話してくれてとても良かった。」 「自身が受けた「差別」を非難するのではなく、日本人を客観的に理解し、新たな融和を目指す、という姿勢に感銘を受けました。」 な ど の 意 見が書かれていました。
今回のさくら市での講演のお話は、一年以上前からはじまり、開催までの間、主催者様とたくさんのやり取りもあり、思い入れ深い、非常に楽しみにしていた講演会でした。皆様のおかげで無事に勤めさせていただくことができ嬉しく思います。
当日も含めこの度は、多くの方にお世話になりました。この場をお借りして改めて心より感謝申し上げます。ありがとうございました。
[Human Rights Lecture, Speaker, Human Rights Week, Human Rights Day,] Human Rights Mini Festa: Let’s Think About “Jinken” Together！
The “Human Rights Mini Festa” with the theme “Let’s Think About ‘Jinken’ Together” was held in Sakura City, Tochigi Prefecture on December 9, 2023. Sponsored by the Sakura City Utsunomiya and Nikko Human Rights Promotion Activities Regional Network Council, the event took place at the Sakura City Ujiya Civic Center Hall.
At the entrance of the venue, human rights slogans created by 6th graders from Sakura City elementary schools and 2nd-year students from junior high schools, as well as charming drawings by 5-year-olds from Sakura City nursery schools, were exhibited. Due to postponements caused by the pandemic, it was a long-awaited in-person gathering for human rights.
On that day, I (Nishanta) delivered a keynote speech with the theme “Enjoying Differences and Turning Them into Strength.” The atmosphere in the venue made the 90 minutes feel like a brief moment. Thank you very much.
After the lecture, I had the privilege of taking a commemorative photo with the organizers and engaging in conversations with members of the local Human Rights Advocacy Committee.
Later, I received feedback from those who attended the lecture. Comments such as “I learned important things in an enjoyable way,” “I confidently affirmed that my way of life is not wrong,” and “I was able to learn important things in an enjoyable manner” were shared. Others expressed appreciation for the clear and gentle delivery of content that is often perceived as formal.
One attendee mentioned being impressed by the approach of not condemning the discrimination they experienced but rather understanding Japanese people objectively and aiming for a new harmony.
The story of this lecture in Sakura City started more than a year ago, with many preparations and anticipation for the event. I am delighted to have successfully delivered the lecture with the support of everyone involved. I express my sincere gratitude to all. Thank you very much.
