俺たちの新年の決意はもっとFat Mike っぽくなること。今、Fat Mikeははだしでハワイの砂浜にいるよ：
Josh Brolinの映画”W”を観たところ。
まあまあよかったんじゃない？でもJosh BrolinのGoerge（Bush）役はすごかった。
えっと、Joshは昔から知ってた。サマーキャンプに一緒に行った。
”大草原の小さな家”のWillyと”Square Pegs”の女の子とthe Nelson twinsと
the VandalsのJoeと一緒に行った。
ラッキーなことに、Joeがそのキャンプに行って、キャンプのダンスの時にDJをやっていて、
the Ramonesの"Beat on the Brat"をかけた。
キャンプが終って、まっしぐらでRhino Recordsに行ってRamonesのカセットを見つけた。
で、それが初めて買ったパンクのレコードだ。
今、俺はハワイのビーチでラモーンズを聞き、マイタイを飲みながらそんなにおもしろくもない
話を書いている。
コンピュータに砂がはいっちゃったけど、どうでもいいや。

Our New Year's resolution is to be more like Mike. Right now he's in Hawaii with his toes in the sand:
I just watched the movie "W" with Josh Brolin. It was pretty good, but Josh Brolin was awesome as George. You see, I knew Josh from the old days. We went to summer camp together, along with Willy from "Little House on the Prairie", the girl from "Square Pegs", the Nelson twins, and Joe from the Vandals. Lucky for me Joe went to that camp cuz at the camp dance he was DJ-ing and he played "Beat on the Brat" by the Ramones. When camp was over I went straight to Rhino Records and found a Ramones cassette, and that was the first punk record I ever bought. Now I'm in Hawaii hanging on the beach listening to the Ramones, drinking mai tais and writing not very interesting anecdotes. There's sand in my computer and I don't care.
