ちょうど2年前の今日、勝手にホルモン治療を止めました！！

改めて2年前を振り返り、自分を襲った怖いホルモン治療の副作用をまとめてみることにしました

ホルモン治療をしてた頃～（2021年11月～2022年6月まで）
１．咳がひどい進行性の間質性肺炎の悪化
もともと肺は悪かったんやけど、一気に悪化。咳が猛烈に出るように...
２．いつも頭がぼ～っとしていてとても重い
朝起きた瞬間からボーーーっとしてました
３．身体が熱くなるホットフラッシュ
女性の更年期の症状と同じような、かぁ～っと熱くなる症状に悩まされました
４．肌のハリと艶が無くなる
この時分の顔色は悪かったな、そしてカサカサ
５．腕のしびれ
両腕とくに上腕がいつもしびれているような状態が続く
６．筋肉の減少による体重の激減
これはほんまにショックやったけど、まじで体力ガタ落ち
家の階段上るのも一苦労、、、これは今も続いてるけど
７．両手のバネ指症状
指が曲がらんくなった、グーができないので色んなものを握りしめる力がなくて困った
当時、主治医の泌尿器科の先生に相談したら、なんと「それはもう手術して治すしかないですね…」と
ひどない？
８．勃起不良
これはなんというか、そういう気にもそもそもならんくなった。まぁ男性ホルモンを抑えるんやから当たり前っちゃ当たり前やけど
...はぁ、ほんまに、あの頃は毎日がしんどかった
体調の不良だけやなくて、やる気も起きず、気分の落ち込みもひどかった。思い出すだけでもしんど！
現状～（2024年6月現在）
１．咳がひどい進行性の間質性肺炎の悪化
これは今も続いてます…持病もあるんでまあしゃーないかと
２．いつも頭がぼ～っとしていてとても重い
３．身体が熱くなるホットフラッシュ
４．肌のハリと艶が無くなる
５．腕のしびれ
２～５の症状はいまではすっかりなくなりました
６．筋肉の減少による体重の激減
だいぶ体力は戻ってきたんやけど、ホルモン治療での心肺機能へのダメージは酷く、この2年間ほぼ毎日プールで泳いでも回復まではほど遠く、600Mが精一杯。
７．両手のバネ指症状
これも奇跡的にほぼ全快！
８．勃起不良
こちらは80％くらいもどったわ

[45] Celebrating 2 Years Since I Stopped Hormone Therapy
Hello, I am Nichara, fighting Prostate Cancer patient.
Today is a special anniversary for Nicchara. Exactly two years ago, I decided to stop hormone therapy on my own! Two years have passed since then, and thanks to lycopene and carrots, I’m still doing well. Looking back at that time, I’ve decided to summarize the scary side effects of hormone therapy that I experienced.
So, let’s dive in!
When I Was on Hormone Therapy (From November 2021 to June 2022)
１．Severe Worsening of Progressive Interstitial Pneumonia
My lungs were already bad, but they got worse quickly, and I started coughing a lot...
２．Constant Brain Fog and Heaviness
I felt dazed from the moment I woke up every day.
３．Hot Flashes
I suffered from symptoms similar to menopause in women, with sudden waves of heat.
４．Loss of Skin Firmness and Luster
My complexion was terrible, and my skin was dry and flaky.
５．Numbness in My Arms
My upper arms, in particular, were always numb.
６．Severe Weight Loss Due to Muscle Depletion
This was really shocking; my stamina dropped drastically, and even climbing the stairs at home became a struggle. This still continues to some extent.
７．Trigger Finger in Both Hands
My fingers couldn't bend properly, and I couldn't make a fist, which made it hard to grip things. When I consulted my urologist, they said, "The only way to fix that is surgery..."
And that’s how it went. Isn’t it terrible?
8. Erectile Dysfunction
I didn’t even feel like it anymore. Well, it’s not surprising since hormone therapy suppresses male hormones. Honestly, every day back then was tough. It wasn’t just my physical health, but my motivation was gone, and I felt deeply depressed. Just thinking about it is exhausting!
Current Situation (As of June 2024)
１．Severe Worsening of Progressive Interstitial Pneumonia
X-mark This is still ongoing… Given my chronic condition, I guess it can’t be helped.
２．Constant Brain Fog and Heaviness
３．Hot Flashes
４．Loss of Skin Firmness and Luster
５．Numbness in My Arms
Blue Circle Symptoms 2 to 5 are completely gone now!
６．Severe Weight Loss Due to Muscle Depletion
Upwards Triangle My stamina has mostly returned, but the damage to my cardio-pulmonary function from hormone therapy was severe. Despite swimming almost every day for the past two years, I’m far from fully recovered, and 600 meters is my limit.
７．Trigger Finger in Both Hands
Miraculously, this is almost fully healed! V-sign
８．Erectile Dysfunction
This has recovered about 80%.
