Greetings, all.
On this 4th of July Holiday Weekend, I must report that there are several TI's in our community under psychiatric holds.
This has been an ongoing dilemma for targeted individuals that further traumatizes the victim. I even received a call from a TI in the Twin Towers Correctional Facility earlier this week, which is a jail in Los Angeles. We only had a couple of minutes to talk. God only knows what happened to land him in there or what we can do to help him. We are planning a visit soon.
And in Richmond, California, a city where TI's have begun planning to relocate to with the presumption that they will be safe there, I have received word from one resident that the police department has recently developed a unit called a Mental Health Evaluation Team (MHET). From police interactions with this particular TI, it doesn't sound like the department has the targeted individuals' interests at heart.
I am reminded of the quote by Captain Mark Gagan when news of the Richmond Resolution hit the mainstream media.
His stance was that the department has looked at the facts and
"has so far found no evidence to support concerns raised by callers."
He further states,
"We try to refocus the conversation, and if they are local, get them into a managed program of medication and supervision," Gagan said.
So those preparing to relocate to Richmond, please be advised that you still have lots of work ahead of you in dealing with the police department there.
Unwarranted psychiatric detentions have plagued our community from the beginning and freeing people from these situations may vary from person to person. Here is an example of the dramas that have been unfolding this week:

Greetings to my brothers and sisters * I have not posted since last Wednesday because I was taken into custody June 25 by Belmont Massachusetts police on a S 12 b.
Stating I am a danger to myself and society.
A reminder that I had just filed a lawsuit claiming I am targeted individual * and told the court I would amend suit to include all.
I am allowed no visitors and no phone call.
* only because I found a staff person who understands my struggle do I have a cell phone charge*.
This is more prove of an organized conspiracy to keep our story from being told.

I called the number listed in this email and someone answered who stated that fortunately, this patient had been discharged.
However, the injustice of psychiatric holds continues to plague our community.
What I'd like to do is start a committee to address this issue on a regular basis and establish protocols to follow in the event of TI psychiatric abductions.
This will be the subject of our discussion Saturday night.
