NBA rookies in high school part 5. Amen and Ausar Thompsen are twin brothers who were picked 4th and 5th in this years draft, but how good were they in high school? The twins were homeschooled to focus on basketball and in the 8th grade, they moved from Oakland to Florida to play at Pine Crest high school a year early. Amen and Ausar played well enough to receive county awards as sophomores, but they really broke out their junior year. The twins led their team to a state championship as Ausar averaged 23/7/3 while Amen averaged 21/8/4. Both Amen and Ausar were regarded as 5 star recruits as juniors. Instead of playing their senior year or going to college, the twins decided to join the Overtime Elite. The unusual path payed off and after 2 years there, Amen was picked 4th to the Rockets while Ausar was picked 5th to the Pistons. Comment who we should cover next.
