My name is Nao Adamson.

I am a Japanese essayist writing about

international marriage with my English husband.

It is a holiday season in Japan

and many people travel here and there.

However, my darling and I mainly stay at home

because I had a health issue and a surgery

in the middle of April.

I stayed in a hospital for four days.

Afterwards I had rested at home for a few weeks.

But I have been recovering these days

and recently I could go out with my darling to our favourite cafe.

I hope that you will have a lovely holiday season.

ゴールデンウィークの前半ですが、いかがお過ごしですか？

私は、４月半ばに婦人科の病気で５日ほど入院し、

手術を受けたため、しばらく家で静養していました。

しかし、最近はぼちぼちと体調もよくなって来て、

ダーリンと一緒に、お気に入りのカフェで

お茶が出来るまでに回復しました。

テレビを見ると、ゴールデンウィークで出掛ける人が多いですが、

私はまだ遠出が出来ないので、近場で楽しもうと思っています。

どうぞ、素敵なゴールデンウィークをお過ごし下さいね。

The Last Day of My Work ...

Hello

My name is Nao Adamson.

29 March was the last day of my work

because my contract finished on that day.

Now I have time to take coffee break at home.

Actually, the cake in the photo below

is a present from my colleague.

In Japan, there is a custom to give a little present

each other when you leave from work.

I bought lots of sweets and distributed them to my colleagues.

They gave me little cake and biscuits as well.

Each colleague wrote a short message

in a small card and put them in a bigger card.

It was really sweet of them.

I appreciate such kindness of my colleagues.

Well, job hunting will be my next challenge.
