11月12日、Queenの新ベストアルバム『Queen Forever』が発売しました。
このアルバムの目玉のひとつ『生命の証(There Must Be More To Life Than This)』は1983年にフレディ・マーキュリーによって書かれました。
しかしマイケルがラマをスタジオに連れてきたという理由でフレディとのレコーディングが進まず、今までデュエット版が収録されることはありませんでした。
そういった経緯があり、1985年にフレディのソロアルバムにソロ版が収録されました。
他にも『State Of Shock』『Victory』がレコーディングされたという噂がありますが、前者がリークされたのみで、まだ正式に日の目の見るに至っていません。
平和を歌ったこの『生命の証』は、のちのマイケルの作品に影響を与えたといってもいいでしょう。
