だれからも批判されないために
だれかを批判したら、その同じやり方で
あなたも批判される
あなたが考えたと同じ考え方で
今度はあなたについて考えられる
兄弟の目にほこりが入っているのを
なぜ気にするのか
自分の目には
巨大なほこりが入っているのに
「あなたの目のほこりを
取ってあげましょう」と
兄弟に向かって
よく言えたものだ
見よ、
己の目の巨大なほこりを
偽善者よ、
まず、己の目についた
巨大なほこりを取れ
そうしたら、
兄弟の目のほこりも
取ってやる事ができるだろう
（マタイ ７．１－５）
Judge not, that ye be not judged.
For with what judgment ye judge,
ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye made, it shall be measured to you again.
And why beholdest thou the mote
that is in thy brother's eye, but
considerest not the beam
that is in thine own eye?
Or how wilt thou say to thy brother,
Let me pull out the mote
out of thine eye;
and behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam
out of thine own eye;
and then shalt thou see clearly
to cast out the mote
out of thy brother's eye.
