What would change with a deal...or without one?
DEAL
All food and agricultural products crossing between Britain and Europe will be subject to new EU safety checks at the border. However, as part of a deal, both sides can agree to reduce the number of consignments that undergo physical inspections.
NO DEAL
WIthout a deal these goods will be subject to EU tariffs, which on most agricultural products can be very hig: dairy products average about 35 per cent and for some meat products if is more than 40 per cent.
