“You are always CHOOSING between the ego and the Holy Spirit. You HAVE the power to choose between the two, but you cannot choose both at the same time.

As you practice making the Right-Minded decision for the Holy Spirit, you will experience a life led by the Holy Spirit rather than the ego, but the decision must be made over and over and over again. Of this you are afraid, because in this you let go of yourself as an independent separate self. But the self that disappears is actually the self that is made up of all conflict, all suffering, all fear and so on.
