As you continue your inner work, it may not feel as if anything is happening. You go on, day to day, in your usual way feeling exactly the same. This may make you feel down-hearted and frustrated. However, The Universe and your soul see it much differently. Changes, even if they are minute, are happening every moment! It is important to keep in mind that not all changes will be life altering…they are more like whispers on the wind, softly touching your consciousness until you realize they are there and in working order. “Be still in mind and direct your focus within. Set your intention to be guided only by the Holy Spirit. Attend to no other voice but the Voice for God, which is always filled with peace and compassion, kindness and love.

If the voice you are listening to seems harsh or judgmental in any way, you can be certain you are listening to the wrong voice. The moment you become aware of the darkened voice of the ego, turn away and choose again. Take direction solely from the Holy Spirit, but forgive yourself when you do not.

Make a mental note to notice the thoughts you encounter and the feelings you may have that go hand in hand with loss of peace, and learn from the experience. The more aware you are of your thoughts, together with the feelings that result from these thoughts, the more conscious you become.

All the guidance we provide is for daily use until the time of learning is complete, and you find that you are Home where you have never left. Practice with patience, for it took time to build your false beliefs. And be gentle with yourself, for it takes time to undo them. Replace your false beliefs with the Holy Spirit’s Interpretation, which is always Truth.
