YOU ARE INVITED TO ENTER INTO THE INAUGURAL OPEN GRAPHIC DESIGN FOR THE BAND LOGO of (仮) ALBATRUS, (仮 means 'transience within truth').
If you have experience in design (pro or amateur), please feel free to submit your "original design" band logo.
If your DESIGN is chosen to be the band logo, you will have a chance to be invited to a special (仮）ALBATRUS outdoor performance live in OKINAWA(southern island of Japan) in coming autumn!!!
(Please note, this include① air fare from any port of Japan,② accommodation to experience okinawa's hospitality at guest house, and ③ ticket to live performance of (仮）ALBATRUS!!!)
or, if you cannot make it to Japan, cash￥50,000 will be alternate reward for you.

(temporary) ALBATRUS (alb truss), is a dream band, formed by the fateful meetings and bond between like-minded musicians, during MIYAKE YOHEI's journey of finding a new musical path after the dissolution of infamous band "INUSHIKI's.
Even though there are permanent members for this band, the form and band member changes freely.
This free flow, free spirit and style is the "仮(temporary) ALBATRUS " essence of this band.
AIM OF THE LOGO DESIGN :
for the logo to transcend beyond band image, similar to the "Grateful Dead" band logo which has it's own life and fame. The intention is to welcome fresh new perspectives of the band's vision and essence, moving forward - giving opportunity to those who may have not known of the band as of yet.

The artistic direction of the logo design and image is requested in the following three styles:
1 .Character (lettering) logo of (temporary) ALBATRUS
2. Logo or image in some form of Japanese writing (仮）、信天翁、アホウドリ,
or Japanese motif, eg. ancient family emblem.
3. Simple motif of the albatrus, similar to one point simple logo used in business letter head.
Please keep in mind this is just a guide line to follow. For example, feel free to include all three styles and essences in one, as long as your design is representing their free spirit and no boundary in sound - it is all welcome !
However, we do ask you to kindly follow just a few guidelines ...

As a point of reference, interestingly - Miyake's ancestral roots have traditions in 'pirate lifestyles' which symbolises the 'journey of the ship sailing through tough times', connecting with the current sentiment in Japan of experiencing one of the country's most tough times in history. Please feel free to interpret the pirates symbol of a 'warrior's ship' and / or ship as a metaphor for a journey.
