sell oneself short
This term comes from buying and selling stocks in the mid 1800s.
Short-selling is when someone borrows and sell stock in an attempt to purchase it,
later at a lower price and pocket the difference.
It came to be used to mean undervaluing people in the early 1900s.
この用語は1800年代中期の株式の売買に由来しています。short sellingはだれかが
借りた株を売って後々低い価格でその株を購入して差額を着服しようとした空売りの
ことを意味する。その後1900年代初頭に人のことを低く評価するという意味に使われるようになった。

The phrase has been used since around 1925 when it was slung in the British army.
It likely came from the sound of a whip cracking when gathering cattle start to work.

という米語の俗語であります"skate"という単語に由来している
out of whack
It goes back about 300 years.
In the late 1700s, "whack" was slang for a portion or specifically a portion of
it take from a crime.
Now this "fair share" meaning came to mean an agreement, and later in the 19th century
"in fine whack" meant in good shape. By the late 19th century, the opposite meaning
had appeared in the phrase "out of whack".
1700年代後期に"whack"は分け前を意味するポーション、具体的には犯罪で手に入れた取り分
の俗語でした。そして"fair share"とは合意を意味するようになりました。
その後19世紀には"in fine whack"で「体調が良い」、「快調で」という意味になって

a liquid after being shaken.
Often used with the incorrect past participle as in "She was really shook up
by the bad news" instead of "she was really shaken up by the bad news".
この表現は1800年代後期から存在して、液体が混ぜられた後の揺れている状態を指す。
しばしば、「shaken」ではなく"She was really shook up by the bad news"
といった間違った過去分詞として使われている。
hook someone up
The phrase of verb "hook something up" means to collect or assemble
something often something electrical or mechanical.
Now the phrase "hook someone up" probably came from this meaning of connecting something.
"hook something up"という句動詞は何かをつなぐ、もしくは組み立てるという意味があり、
しばしばその何かは電気的なものや機械的なものを指します。
おそらくそこからこの"hook someone up"という表現は何かをつなぐというところから
人やモノ通しをつなぐとか紹介するという意味になっている。

A treat of something pleasant so to "be in for a treat" means that

"Pack it in" this expresssion, which is been around since the early 19's is
a reference packing your things before leaving.
During WWI, it was also used as slang to mean killed.

アカウント情報から端末をクリックして、「端末を削除」を実行したけど、サインイン状態のまま。とりあえず放置。
カメラマークをクリックして、
Galaxyアカウントの設定をクリック、
アカウントを削除をクリックすると、
同意を求められ、
ページの下の方で、同意して、削除！
削除されたことを確認。
サインインページで、
サインインできなくなってました。すっきり。
