マンハッタンのパークアベニュー沿いといえば、銀座の一等地以上。
歴史ある古いビルばかりなのに、地価も家賃も高騰する一方。
ミッドタウンのグランドセントラル駅で南北が分かれていて、
アップタウン側の通りは常に季節の花々が植え替えられているイメージが強い。
昨秋にミッドタウンに引っ越してから、南側のパークアベユーを歩く機会が増えた。
このユニークな彫像に挨拶をするのが日課になりつつある。
Manhattan's Park Avenue is more than a prime location compared to Ginza.
It is full of old, historic buildings, yet both land prices and rents are skyrocketing.
The north and south sides of the street are divided by Grand Central Station in Midtown,
The Uptown side of the street has a strong image of seasonal flowers that are constantly being replanted.
Since moving to Midtown last fall, I have had more opportunities to walk along Park Avenue on the south side.
It is becoming a daily routine to say hello to this unique statue.
