「私の恩師がニューヨークで展示会をされるので、手伝っていただけませんか？」
前職の同窓会が御縁で知り合った友人から、久しぶりに連絡をいただいた。
当時の特別ゲストの奥様で、以来個人的にも仲良くさせていただいていて、
私の本が原作となった舞台にも、何度か足を運んでくださっている。
彼女からの依頼とくれば、断る理由は１ミリもない。
書彩家・結鶴（ゆづる）先生が、ソーホーでのグループ展に参加される際に、
ニューヨークらしいポートフォリオを撮影してほしいという依頼だった。
日程や予算を考えて候補に上がった中で、ある女性写真家に白羽の矢を当ててみた。
結果、とても素敵な撮影会が実行された。
書道家という静寂と、彼女独自の躍動感が、美しい被写体となって映し出された。
結鶴先生のキャリアやこれまでの軌跡、まだまだ聴き足りないことだらけだったけれど、これからの世界での活躍を応援させていただきます。
"My mentor is having an exhibition in New York, and I would like to know if you could help her.
I received a call for the first time in a long time from a friend I met through a reunion with my former employer.
She was the wife of a special guest at that time, and we have been good friends on a personal level ever since,
and has visited the play on which my book is based several times.
With a request from her, I had not the slightest reason to refuse.
The calligrapher Yuzu wanted us to photograph her New York-style portfolio during her group exhibition in Soho.
Among the candidates, considering the schedule and budget, I decided to give the nod to a female photographer.
As a result, a lovely photo session was executed.
The beautiful subject matter reflected the serenity of a calligrapher and her unique sense of dynamism.
There was much more to hear about Yuzu's career and path, but we will root for her future success.
