岸田家を見送った後の、おまけの話。

 

彼女たちがニューヨーク滞在中、矢野顕子さんの御自宅でご馳走になったという

「チキンとキャベツのカレー」があまりにも美味しそうなので、作ってみた。

 

ひろ実さんが口頭でお聞きしたレシピをメモに落としてくださったので、

私はさらにアレンジを加えて、家にあったスパイスをたくさん投入。

 

ストウブで煮込んだので、手羽元がほとんど原型をとどめていないけれど、

キャベツ丸ごと、玉ねぎもたっぷり、これで美味しくないわけがない。

 

世界中のどこにいても、美味しい食卓を囲めることは、幸せの象徴だと痛感する。

 

 

Here is an extra story after seeing the Kishida family off.

 

I tried to make the "Chicken and Cabbage Curry" that Ms. Akiko Yano served to the Kishida family at home while in New York.

 

Hiromi gave me the recipe she had heard orally and wrote it down in a memo.

I made a few more changes and added a lot of spices that I had at home.

 

The chicken wings were cooked in the pot "STAUB," so they were barely in their original state.

It must be delicious with whole cabbage and plenty of onions.

 

I am keenly aware that enjoying a delicious meal around the table symbolizes happiness, no matter where you are.
