我が家の下の子供たちは、日本式でいうと年子が連なっている。
３年連続の日本語補習校卒業式とはいえ、それぞれに感慨深いものがある。
１週間に１度しかない補習校が、コロナ禍でオンライン授業になった。
途中で辞めてしまった生徒もいるし、いじめ問題にも巻き込まれた。
それでも最後まで諦めずに卒業式を迎えられたことを、誇りに思う。
一旦終止符が打たれるはずの週末お弁当作りは、まだまだ続く。
これからはボランティアとして、しっかり後輩たちのお世話をしてください。
The younger children in our family are, in Japanese style, a string of "toshigo" (children born in the one-year difference).
Even though this is the third consecutive year of Japanese language supplementary school graduation ceremonies, each one is deeply moved by the other.
The Japanese school, which only meets once a week, has become an online class with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some students quit halfway through, and my daughter was involved in bullying problems.
Still, I am proud that we were able to celebrate the graduation ceremony without giving up until the very end.
The weekend bento-box making, which was supposed to come to an end once and for all, is still going on.
From now on, please take good care of our juniors as volunteers.
