ヒルバーンの名所Mt.Fuji Restaurantの夏祭りに、ご挨拶。
太鼓、殺陣、落語といった企画も大盛況だったようで、会場は人で溢れていた。
昨夏、ここを訪れた時、翌夏にはコロナ禍が終焉していてほしいと願っていた。
数字の上では、あまり状況は変わっていないけれど、
集会後などに誰かがコロナ感染を報告しても、濃厚接触の報告義務さえなくなった。
人々の心は、もう完全にコロナと共存する覚悟が出来上がっている。
We visited a fellow chef in camp on the way home from visiting my eldest daughter.
It was Fuji Restaurant, a famous restaurant in Hillburn, for their summer festival.
The taiko drumming, sword fighting, and rakugo (traditional Japanese comic storytelling) events seemed to be a great success, and the place was packed with people.
When I visited here last summer, I hoped the Corona disaster would be over by the following summer.
The situation has not changed much in terms of numbers.
Even the obligation to report a close contact has disappeared, even if someone reports a COVID-19 infection after a meeting or other event.
People are now completely prepared to live with COVID-19.
