「セクレタリーズ」代表の渡邊華織さん。
最初に彼女を紹介された時、知性のある笑顔と溢れ出る包容力に魅了されたけれど、
後になって、かつての職場の同僚であったということが判明した。
華織さんは、その後20年以上にわたり大手企業の会長・社長秘書を歴任。
秘書時代にボスから学んだ経営戦力や企画力、交渉やおもてなしの秘技など、
実経験を積み上げた彼女だからこそ培えた見識の宝箱のような人。
彼女が主催する「お福分け会」は、彼女のこれまでの経験と人脈を通して、
ビジネスや人生の成功となる気付きを、余すところなく若手人材に伝えようという企画。
この回は、「個人のブランディングとパフォーマンス」についての講義であった。
受講生は最初に自己紹介はしない。
背中に下げたプラカードに、「自分の客観的な印象」を書いてもらう。
次に「自分が目指している像」を書き加える。
そこで、いかにその両者が乖離しているかに気付く。
つまるところ、セルフブランディングには、まず見た目の印象が大事であり、
社会人としての常識、世が変わっても変わらないものがあるということ。
企画力抜群の華織さんに学ぶところが多く、そこに集まる若者たちの意欲も膨大。
「丁寧に生きること」の意味を、改めて考えている。
Ms. Kaori Watanabe is the representative of the team of "Secretaries."
I was charmed by her brilliant smile and overflowing receptiveness when first introduced to her.
Later, I found out that she was a former colleague of mine.
Over the next 20 years, Kaori worked as a secretary to the chairman or president of a major company.
During her secretarial years, she learned from her bosses the secret skills of management, planning, negotiation, and hospitality, and she has accumulated a great deal of practical experience.
She is like a "treasure box of insights" that she was able to cultivate because of her accumulated real-life experience.
The "Ofukuwake-kai" sessions, hosted by her, are designed to share with young talents the insights that will lead to success in business and life through her experiences and connections.
The session on the day was a lecture on "Personal Branding and Performance."
We, the audience, did not introduce themselves at the beginning.
They were asked to write their "objective impression of themselves" on a placard placed on their backs.
Next, they add "the image they are aiming for."
Then, we noticed how the two are divergent.
After all, in self-branding, the first thing that counts is how you look.
Common sense as a member of society, some things do not change even if the world changes.
There is much to learn from the excellent planning ability of Kaori, and the motivation of the young people who gather there is also enormous.
I am thinking anew about the meaning of "living carefully."
