I'm not sure if he'll read it.
But I dare to leave it as a reminder for the weekend.

I don't have many "mom friends."
Of course, I know a lot of moms who are my children's classmates.
But unless it's a school event, we rarely see each other.
In the days when I had my hands full with my young children, I was always in the dark.
I couldn't ask for help, and I couldn't afford to try to find the light.
I'm sure I would have appeared as someone who pretended to be too busy to socialize.
This weekend, a mom from my second son's class asked me out to lunch.
I was a little nervous because it was the first time for me to be invited personally.
Her husband passed away a year and half years ago in an unexpected accident.
It was hard for me to talk to her in her life with her only child.
She had been working as a medical professional in New York for over 20 years.
I had heard that she alone should have made the decision her husband's life-prolong treatment.
She also fought on the front lines of the medical field during the COVID-19 pandemic and witnessed people's lives and deaths.
As I listened to the various stories, I felt ashamed of my smallness.
She had taken care of her husband and sent off a COVID-19 patient to a hospice.
Today, she assisted an injured person until the ambulance arrived at a traffic accident, she happened to be in.
What a surprise.
What a surprise. "Please let Seri have some."
The souvenir cookies she gave me were filled with compassion.
I'm thinking of the word "dignity" in my mind.
I am just grateful to be able to be near her.
